Purnam YogaShala is a **Yoga Alliance registered school** (RYS-200) located on the peaceful Agonda Beach in South Goa. We provide a deep insight into Asana, Pranayama, and other traditional practices from the Hatha Yoga tradition. Our classes are deep, spiritual, and informative, often followed by a short *Satsang* (spiritual talk) where questions regarding philosophy, practice, love, and life are welcomed.

Our team consists of qualified Masters of Yogic Science who have been teaching ancient wisdom for many years. We aim to increase awareness about holistic living, meditation, and a balanced lifestyle, preparing you to become a confident instructor ready to share this knowledge with the world.

WHAT YOU WILL MASTER IN 200 HOURS

Hatha yoga is the foundation of all yoga types. It allows the practitioner to progress surely, steadily, and safely. During the 200-hour training, we provide a detailed and strong base covering:

  • Sanskrit and English names for main asanas
  • Correct alignment & Counter-Postures
  • Variations and modifications for all levels
  • Hands-on adjustment techniques
  • Art of Teaching and sequencing
  • Use of props (belt, bolster, block, wall)

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic and traditional yoga practice that follows a specific sequence of postures. We focus on the Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa) to detoxify and align the body.

  • Ujjayi Breathing: Mastering the victorious breath.
  • Bandhas: Engaging Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara Bandha.
  • Drishti: Gazing points for focus and energy regulation.
  • Vinyasa System: Coordinating movement with breath.

Prana is the vital life force energy. Pranayama is the science used to control and expand this energy.

  • Basic Techniques: Thoracic and Clavicular breathing.
  • Nadi Shodhana: Alternate nostril breathing for balance.
  • Bhastrika: Bellows breath for energy.
  • Kapalbhati: Skull shining breath for detoxification.
  • Sheetali & Sheetkari: Cooling breaths.
